This upcoming Cantonese movie, The Irresistible Women, is as its name implies, simply irresistible.Featuring household names in the Hong Kong movie arena like Karen Mok, Michele Reis, Stephen Fung and Jordan Chan, The Irresistible Women is a comic tale of four women who go through a major transformation to become the irresistible woman, bringing into play the classic ugly-duckling plot. The movie tells the story of four ugly women who work in a telecommunications service company called LMF (London Mobile Factory), where they are rivaled by a power hungry woman, Christine, who plots to layoff numerous employees, in an attempt to gain control of the company. To get even with Christine, the Girls, with the help of a gay hand-phone designer, played by Jordan Chan, decide to infiltrate the company to expose Christine’s illegitimate handlings. They do this by going through a total transformation in their appearance, making them ‘irresistible’, enabling to join the company under a new identity. |
