Two intertwined tales explore how one tiny incident can change everything. Sixth-graders Norimichi, Yusuke and Junichi can't quite figure out how fireworks look when seen from the side. Do they look round? Or do they look flat? Experimenting for themselves seems like a perfect way to find out, so on the night of the Summer Fireworks, the threesome decide to embark on a little adventure. On the same day, their classmate Nazuna is planning to 'elope' with either Norimichi or Yusuke, whoever wins a 50m swimming race.
Friendship or love? This eternal question is the underlying theme in these two interesting stories stuffed with heart, innocence and charm.
