Oz Bezaraeus, a heir to one of four prominent families, becomes the age of fifteen. At his coming-of-age ceremony, strengers calling themselves Messenger of Abyss who suddenly breaks into the ceremony cast Oz into the prison known as the Abyss for a crime of which he knows nothing. At the Abyss, Oz meets a mysterious girl named Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. Alice, the Abyss and the strange organization know as Pandora turns the wheels of OZ's destiny.
