Century Of The Dragon

A $$ID=Wong Jing$$ triad movie rarely pulls any punches and this is an all-star affair. $$ID=Andy Lau$$ plays Fei Lung, an ex-triad boss gone legitimate to $$ID=Louis Koo$$ Tin Lok's undercover cop who masquerades as his deputy with the intention of incriminating him. The film plays on the identity crisis faced by undercover cops as the latter finds it difficult to betray his boss who is a righteous person. The usual suspects cast in Hong Kong triad movies appear in this story of betrayal and revenge with over-the-top graphic violence and action that approaches anime. Patrick Tam Yiu Man, erstwhile TV serial actor (known for his similar role in "The Flaming Brothers") gives a worthy performance as the unscrupulous son of Fei Lung's brother-in-arms who sets off a full fledged gang war to stake his place at the top. Recommended to fans of this genre and anyone interested in Hong Kong triad filmlore.
