During the Sung Dynasty, the whole nation was swept by soccer fever. By the commission of the Emperor, Prime Minister Gao Kau has formed the Royal Club soccer team to play with his majesty and to entertain guests at times of festivities. On the other side, a group of rebel heroes trying to evade persecution by the authorities had gathered at the Liang Shan. These 108 heroes led by Sung Kong also liked soccer, not just as a sport for training the body, but also as an exercise for team spirit; not knowing that their arch-nemesis Gao Kau was planning to use this against them...
It was more than a soccer game, but also a show of endurance, persistence, rivalry and comradeship, and first rated entertainment. |
