Hong Kong has its own, unique, horror anthologies, and this was one of the most eerie. Exploitation expert Mou Tun-fei (Man Behind The Sun) helms the first story, of a nasty lottery winner whose greed leads him to a grim fate, while acclaimed director Chu Yuan (Heaven Sword And Dragon Sabre) handles a newlywed bride's haunted house terrors in the second story. Between the two, audiences got a masterful double serving of the macabre which still has the power to raise gooseflesh more than twenty years later. |
