Alan was a adopted son of Lung Yat Fu who was a key person of Taiwan triad societies. Once, Lung Yat Fu was attacked by some enemies. In the hospital, Alan met a nurse Monica Shum, she donated blood to save Lung Yat Fu, but he became handicapped.
