- BLACK MASK - JET Li stars in this futuristic techno-action thriller based on a popular Hong Kong comic book. Li was part of Squad 701 a team of professional killers known as Black Mask, who do not feel pain or emotions. When the team was exterminated by the govement after they discovered that some squad members are still capable of feelings, Li goes into hiding as a libraian. However, when another member of the Squad begins killing every major drug dealers in Hong Kong to gain control of the drug market. Li has to don the identity of Black Mask once again, this tiem in thename of heroic justive. Shot in the dazzling style of Batman and Blade Runner by director daniel Lee and also stars Lau Ching Wan , Karen Mok, and Francoise Yip, Black Mask is an explosive action spectacle as well as a visually imaginative feast for the eyes. - BLACK MASK II - Andy On takes on the role created by Jet Li in 1999's BLACK MASK. As Black Mask searches for the biological abnormality which gave him super powers, he discovers a terrorist plot to drop a DNA-altering bomb on the human race! In order to foil the plot, Mask will have to tangle with a cadre of chemically-altered professional wrestlers who have the ability to morph into dangerously powerful mutants. Hong Kong action master Tsui Hark (PEKING OPERA BLUES) directs. |
